TREK BICYCLE DEMO DAY AT WAWAYANDA STATE PARK

Hewitt, NJ- On Saturday, May 5th, Sussex Bike and Sport Shop and Black Bear Cycling will host Trek Bicycle Demo Day in Wawayanda State Park.

Representatives from Trek Bicycle Corporation and Sussex Bike will be on hand to fit participants with the latest in Trek bicycle designs and also provide expert advice about on and off-road cycling. "We'll have about 20 mountain bikes and a handful of road bikes available for free demo rides," reported Jason Ziegler, owner of Sussex Bike and Sport Shop, located on Route 23 North in Wantage, NJ.

Additionally, members of Black Bear Cycling, a local cycling club that performs volunteer trail maintenance for Wawayanda State Park in cooperation with the NJ Division of Parks and Forestry, will lead short group rides for all demo day participants.

The demo day event kicks off a weekend of cycling activity at Wawayanda State Park. Also scheduled for that day is the "Campmor All Girls Pre-Race Ride," hosted by Team Campmor and Black Bear Cycling. This gender-specific ride will preview the race course designed in Wawayanda by Black Bear Cycling. The course will be featured on Sunday, May 6th, at the inaugural race for the 2007 Campmor H2H Mountain Bike Race Series. "We've provided a lot of volunteer hours preparing the race course and maintaining other trails in Wawayanda for all trail users," stated Jeff Stickle, president of Black Bear Cycling.

Trek Demo Day runs from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. Bicycle test rides are free, but a valid driver's license and credit card must be provided. All bicycle users must bring their own helmets. Trek Demo Day will be located near the Beach House (Main Parking Lot), and the access entrance located on the Warwick Turnpike will be open for this event.
